As a junior I had a good short game. Then at around 17 I developed the yips and it got so bad I stopped playing for about 14 years - I once missed the ball! I came across Dan and was compelled to go to the short game section at a local club and I couldn't beleive how quickly my short game came back and now I love playing again. Thanks Dan!

The only tip I disagree with is carrying a 5 wood over a 3 wood? I hit my 3 wood 10× better than my 5 wood every time I play a round of golf.

Lots of bounce for deep bunkers or fluffy lies. Minimal bounce for shallow bunkers (nearly hardpan) and tight lies. 56° with high bounce so you don’t hit the ball half way to your target. 60° with low bounce so you don’t hit it past.

@6:30 disagree. Only the player can decide what club he wants to use and whether it is reasonable or not. Hitting a driver to advance the ball is not unreasonable since there is an obstruction he needs to hit around. It may be a terrible choice of club but that doesn't make it unreasonable. The player would be given free relief and then once he has taken full relief he can choose which club he wants to use from the new ball location. There are 14 clubs in the bag and you can use any of them at any time you wish. This basically voids the unreasonable part of the rule. Also you have to take into account every type of golfer in the unreasonable rule. A handicapped golfer using a cart seat may hit a very different club than an able bodied golfer.

How it should be is how me and my friends play, perfect example i played today one of my tee shots went in the light right rough (we all saw a bounce) but then couldnt find it so i took a drop in the rough guessing where abouts it went and added 1 stroke annoying for me but the simple way of doing it

A perfect example of how statistics make people come to false conclusions, just off the top of my head I can think of several reasons why this data (from Arcco) would be wrong: 1) People go to their 3w over driver for harder tee shots as its a comfort club, therefore 3w is instantly at a disadvantage given they're playing harder fairways 2) People get fitted for their driver and generally spend a lot of money getting the perfect club for them, woods tend to be more of an afterthought 3) People practice with their driver for hours and hours at the range

thanks for slowing down the game. 90 + % of golfers play stroke play. Once you begin putting you can finish. You have just told them a match play rule that will stick in their head and carry over thinking its always furthest out, (already a big mis-nomer) TAP IN THAT 1 OR 2 FT PUTT AND BE DONE !
